years ago i stripped this model and i repainted the body green...but left the tank unpainted...i just polished the tanker part to make it like a milk tanker...after a bunch of years it didnt look very nice...since i had a bunch of emery paper and tools out i decided to bring back the shine this model could have...i only used the emery paper on the tank and not mechanical use of tools until i used a polishing wheel at the end to really make it shine...if i used a mechanical tool for the sanding part there wouldnt be as many scratches showing...but in hand it really looks great

the tools were out because i decided to finish a plastic model kit of a 1965 impala SS i had...just about done that one

I like it a lot and something else Lesney could have done but I expext the main tank section would have had to be plastic to make the plating easier (and the model lighter and cheaper).

Dan, can we also see (in the Lounge) the 1965 impala SS when it is finished, some of us hear are also into plastic kits, thanks.

thanks kev...lesney lost out on many variations to their normal model...well they did according to us

and i will post the model...its a bit ragged compared to some of my older ones...my skills have dimenished
