Well spoken that man.

What Dan says is true for many of us but we easily forget how our collections have come about and the actual contents of the collection. We all know of a few models that for some reason usually financial or scarcness of the model, we will never be able to put in our collections. But like Dan, we should step back from the collection for a moment and think about the models that once upon a time were not in the collection but somehow you got them included and once the glory of getting that one in, you moved onto the next one hoping to add that one day!

To each and every one of us our collections mean a lot and should mean we are very happy with what we have got and I am sure most of the time we are happy, but if not, then that is the time to move on and let someone else enjoy the collection.

A round of applause to all of us who enjoy our collections no matter how small or large they are...Image

I also love my collection also although I am I admit an Ebay buyer and seller my own little collection of stayers are the cars I have owned.I know a lot of collectors go down this route and for someone who has owned more scrappers over the years than nice ones its not easy to get hold of the dozens of makes and models I have cared for , Usualy just before they ended up scrapped...So I put it out to the makers again.Where are the Austin Montegos,Mazda 323s,Toyota Carina 11s and FSO taxis....We all I think have a different angle on the stuff we own.I know someone who collects only broken guitar strings from bands he has seen...You see it takes all sorts....Lets all be happy with what we have..But to be honest I dont want to leave any of it to my kids....---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------except the cars that I owned. ;)

I keep waiting for one of mine to buy that home with the separate quarters for the Mrs. and myself. Lord knows they all make enough money and I really think it's payback time for their teen years and other associated nightmares they put us through. It's time for us to become a burden on the children (oh I can hardly wait  )
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Well spoken. Thanks everyone for new information concerning models. The true collectors are getting older. The trill off finding a new variation keeps us alive. I'm awere off getting older so I started just off looking what I have. Putting them in plastic boxes. For the fun I put a few models to celebrate my birhtday tomorrow. (55)
