Just Boxes

Post by jnoss66 »

Hello people,
First time here in a long long time.I actually came here looking for a post which I thought I had made some years ago on the subject of Boxes , namely the very hard to find ones , but for the life of me , they don't seem to show up. Maybe I'm just getting old .
When I first started collecting Boxes were not such an issue for me but as I drew closer to having all the cars I desired I decided to add their boxes to complete the picture . I never realised how many boxes there actually are .
Anyway can we start a new conversation on the subject ?

regards

Hi James, Welcome back, are you talking about regular wheel or super fast Pete.

Hello James and welcome back to the forum.

I have looked at your past 13 posts on this forum and none of them are really box specific. If you were with us during the 'LeFora' days maybe your post is there.

It might be time to post a brief recap of what happened with regards to the Lafora server/forums as many newer members and some returning members may not realize what happened. When such things have happened in the past, several popular forums never recovered from the big switch and just died off. VBD is lucky to have survived and to be as popular as it is today.

I think I've returned to Lafora only once since the big melt down and that was right after the whole restructuring went down. Is the site still up and running and do people still post there?
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

I will kick this discussion off with some hard to find type F red script Superfast boxes.

VBD via LeFora/Tapatalk is still online but nobody posts there as no one is maintaing the site so no promotions or adverts for it anywhere.

As I can still get into the site I could actually post something and its online footprint must be small enough for the server owner not to worry about taking it down.

Hello and thanks for the speedy replies .
Yes I was talking about Superfast boxes I should have added , although I do have quite a few Lesney ones .
It seems like everyday I come across another box I need to fulfil my mission like the 35 Merriweather without new to the end flaps . The end flaps !
My knees are already shaking in anticipation in trying to find the no script Boxes Motorman , not to mention the other red scripts I need now .
I fear this is going to be a very expensive exercise , especially since I have the models already .
Thanks to all for the input , I'm glad I'm not going mad after all .

regards
