12c Landy with a plain smooth roof (no junk on top)

Did you ever want to see a version of the 12c landy with a simple plain roof? Think of the alternate variation possibilities: Police, Fire, Rescue/Ambulance, Life Guard, all manner of civil applications. Too bad for us matchbox regular wheel lovers, all we got was the junk on the roof version :( Here's one all stripped of blue paint with a polished body ready for new paint. I removed all the extra casting nonsense for the luggage and thought I'd admire the fine classic Landy lines for a bit before I continued.

When you take a piece of old wood lets say from an old piano and plane down all sides is it not a new piece of wood..Is this glorious casting not now a new Land Rover ready for a perfect or indeed weathed finish ? I love a good naked casting in the morning. 8-)

I find there is a certain baeuty in having a naked model (yes them as well!!) and have a collection of Dinky 'Action Kits' Rolls-Royce and have aquired a few made up but left naked and that is how they will stay. I have enough of them built up and painted so can enjoy the versions 'As Is'.

Ghosthunter.

The TV show "Murder in Paradise" is a good example of a 1:1 artificially aged vehicle (in this case a Landy) to make it appear older, beat-up up and very weathered.  The one above already has a new finish on it and is going to be a rescue vehicle of a certain type (not a fire truck, not a police car, not an ambulance, not military). It has a clean roof now, but I am working on completely different "junk" for the roof.  I'll post it when it's finished and I hope some of you like the changes. It's taking longer than expected cause my printer keeps smudging the last of the decals I'm trying to make.
