What do you make of this Mustang?

This one sold for just over £100. With solid wheels, is it an early colour trial? It's not a prepro because it's not the very first base.

Well, to start off with, the photographs are absolutely dreadful. However, what is clear is that both the body and the baseplate are in high gloss. The body has a thick covering, and the insides of the wheel wells look like they're painted rather than sprayed. The rear rivet seems to have an uneven appearance around the circumference which, coincidentally, has lost its paint covering, whilst a close-up (see below) reveals a generally rough (rather than a smooth, spun) surface. Also, the rear tow hook is obviously well worn..Finally, those do not look like 'straight out of the box' tyres, and the baseplate shot suggests that there is either an issue with the fit of the rear (UK) nearside wheel, or the axle itself is bent.
All in all, I do not believe that it is genuine.

I agree - a repaint of the wrong version. So why did someone pay £100? A little research would surely have rung a few alarm bells.

It is truly astounding what the uninformed will pay for a complete pup - and we can't even tell them so they can get their money back (and perhaps learn as well), because Ebay has anonymised their IDs!

In this case, two people. The winning bid was £100.01 and the underbid was £100.

I've little to add to this. I guess the seller views the item description as "optional."

Why should one offer it again when it has already been sold?
