The 55b needed an axle and 2 wheels and a dome light. The window insert had to be cleaned and polished. Dome light came from a broken light trio for the caddy ambulance and I worked the base of the dome light down to fit on the 55b. I had one set of decals for this model so I made photocopies onto white decal paper and cut them to fit. First I had to install "blanks" and then set the printed decals over them in order to get a nice solid white background. The 55c I painted in the 55b metallic blue like the early pre production models.

Hi Joe,

I like what you have done with the 55c. It does look stunning in this colour. Can you shed any more light on the pre – pro factor please? I do not recall this being discussed previously on the VBD. Do you know if photos of this exist anywhere….or do we just wait for Jason to find one next week.
