The Mrs and myself are waiting out the Covid-19 virus at home in self isolation. We are both "senior citizens" and have some concerning health issues that would make getting the virus potentially fatal, so we're at home and being as safe as possible ... but, I'm trying to stay busy and productive. I decided to clean out and clean up the garage and my work bench. One of the problems I have is that I use both an air brush and aerosol spray cans for my hobby work.The spray cans had become a bit of a mess and a huge clutter. They took over one six foot tall shelf and were soaking up valuable horizontal counter space in my work area. I needed a decent storage rack to organize the cans. I envisioned something that could be purchased that might be similar to a store display and had no luck finding anything suitable. So, I decided to build my own space saving rack. This is what I came up with. It's 24" wide, 80" tall and 6 1/2" deep with 120 storage slots. It really cleaned up the place and organized the cans.

Oh joy....We are in exactly the same position .My spray cans are on a 6 foot shelf in the shed the holds two deep..I have some in the kitchen getting up to room temp,and a load stairs in the office ready to go back in the the shed..Heres a weird one for you Joe.I used to have my favorite spanner back in the day that I called "Spike" ..He was a 1/2 x 9/16" and a good foot long..Never have I used a spanner so much as spike but gradualy metric took over and Spike sadly got used less and less till he got stolen when my old Bluebird got nicked. ...Have you a favorite spray can that always do's it for you?? Mine is Cherry red by Painter's Touch Rust-Oleum...

Also in the shed are my painting aids.I have 4 x 2 Foot long pieces of wood that have small blocks glued on to hold model bodies etc...They will NEVER go rusty I can vouch for that..Little bits of art they are..

Julie, the blonde, was getting pretty desperate for money. She decided to go to the nicer, richer neighborhoods around town and look for odd jobs as a handy woman.
The first house she came to, a man answered the door and told Julie,
"Yeah, I have a job for you. How would you like to paint the porch?" "Sure, that sounds great!" said Julie.
"Well, how much do you want me to pay you?" asked the man.
"Is fifty bucks all right?" Julie asked.
"Yeah, great. You'll find the paint and ladders you'll need in the garage."
The man went back into his house to his wife who had been listening. "Fifty bucks! Does she know the porch goes all the way around the house?" asked the wife.
"Well, she must, she was standing right on it!" her husband replied.
About 45 minutes later, Julie knocked on the door. "I'm all finished," she told the surprised homeowner. The man was amazed.
"You painted the whole porch?" "Yeah," Julie replied, "I even had some paint left, so I put on two coats!" The man reached into his wallet to pay Julie.

"Oh, and by the way," said Julie, "That's not a Porch, it's a Ferrari."

Have you a favorite spray can that always do's it for you?? Mine is Cherry red by Painter's Touch Rust-Oleum...

I've a few faves. Of the spray cans I love the white high gloss Lacquers (first choice is Krylon, 2nd is Rust-oleum Lacquers). They make a wonderful primer and undercoat which makes all different colors of top coats really pop and perform. They also make a really nice top coat finish (using themselves as first coat primers). Dries fast, looks great.

I love these magnum cans of Rust-oleum clear gloss topcoat. It works really well to seal home made decals printed on the ink jet. Performs great over pretty much all paints and gives a real smooth finish. These tall cans last a good while and continue to work well to the last bit is used.

There is a bargain store near my home that gets all kind of close out stock and other bargain deals. One of the things they get several times a year is Dupli-Color automotive touch up paints. When ever they get these in, I buy several cans of the colors that I like. They sell it for one dollar a can so you can't really go wrong. Last time I got several cans of this Milano Red, a beautiful rich red (I'll be sad when I've used up the last of it).
