Glad you still have them as they hold so many memories for you. The big Combine Harvester looks to be in very good condition.

I, too, am happy that they have remained with their original owner. Though very few--if any --of my childhood die-casts were Lesneys, there are a select few I wish I'd held on to. (My Dad sold them at a flea market after I tired if them.)

Before the current Covid-19 situation, I was working in a collectors model shop and the number of visitors on seeing a selection of old Dinky Toys on display say similar statements about Dad selling or giving away such toys because so called better toys came along. They of course now wish they had been kept!

I kept all of mine,my kids played with them,my mates kids played with them,my nephews played with them (and rinsed me of a few),but it shows the value of them as they have entertained different generations.
I made sure my personal favourites were always returned, especially my No 14 Bedford ambulance.

It's great that you kept your models. Didn't give mine a thought when I left home. Then in 2003 back in UK to visit my Mum she asked what I was going to do with that box of toys in the cupboard. Had a look and she'd cleaned them up and packed them away. A few Dinky & Corgi but mostly Matchbox as my parents would buy a couple for me at Christmas & birthdays. At the time I was looking for an interest outside of work that I could get into and thought, 1 - 75 Series, well that won't take long to collect them all. 17 years later and I'm still searching. Strange how small events can have a big impact upon on your life.
