All well played with but..........they were mine as a child.

I, too, am happy that they have remained with their original owner. Though very few--if any --of my childhood die-casts were Lesneys, there are a select few I wish I'd held on to. (My Dad sold them at a flea market after I tired if them.)GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Glad you still have them as they hold so many memories for you.
I kept all of mine,my kids played with them,my mates kids played with them,my nephews played with them (and rinsed me of a few),but it shows the value of them as they have entertained different generations.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Before the current Covid-19 situation, I was working in a collectors model shop and the number of visitors on seeing a selection of old Dinky Toys on display say similar statements about Dad selling or giving away such toys because so called better toys came along. They of course now wish they had been kept!
