Just looking at the 54 Ford Capri and wandering how they choosed the number plates, ie made up or from real cars.

It is known some of the tool makers used their own initials to create number plates on Lesney items.

Mercedes 230 SL is wearing a number plate showing BB-A 716.
BB stands for Böblingen- the town where the original model was built.

There are some MB 38 Ford A Vans that have "PC 1957" as their licence plates - "Paul Carr, born in 1957".

Green Yesteryear Rolls has AX 201 which the real original has, I believe.
I read the number plate on the blue Triumph motorcycle was the actual plate on the designer or die casters motor bike.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
