M1A Caterpillar Earth Remover

M1A Caterpillar Earth Remover. Issued 1957. Made in England.
Scale: 125:1. Deleted 1961.

Body: Yellow or dark yellow (shades exist).
No known casting variations.
Wheels: Silver metal with knobbly black plastic tires.
Can also be found with a copper tint.
Axles: Dome heads with either crimped (early versions) or rounded ends.

1. Yellow body/silver metal hubs with knobbly black tires/crimped axles.
2. Dark yellow body//silver metal hubs with knobbly black tires/crimped axles.
3. Yellow body//silver metal hubs with knobbly black tires/rounded axles.
4. Dark yellow body//silver metal hubs with knobbly black tires/rounded axles.

A beautifully crafted model that's very playable. I always thought that the Major Pack range was undervalued.

Though I think Lesney may have been a little off with the scale, I like this model. I passed on the opportunity to buy the only one I've seen in person, as it was missing the scraper unit.
