M1B BP Petrol Tanker

M1B BP Petrol Tanker. Issued 1961. Made In Engand.
Scale 88:1

Body: Light yellow/green or yellow/green.
Base: Gloss black.
Base legend: B.P. "Autotanker", Major Pack No.1
Wheels: Black plastic - Knobby or fine threads.
Windows: Light green or green.
Labels: "BP" on front and back.
"BP" also fitted on the sides and can be found to the front or rear.
Casting hole found behind the front BP label.
Silver Trim: Headlights and rear bumper. Later models can be found without trim.

1. Lt.yellow/green body/blk base/black knobby wheels/green windows/BP side labels to front/silver trim on lights & rear bumper.
2. Lt.yellow/green body/blk base/black knobby wheels/lt.green windows/BP side labels to front/silver trim on lights & rear bumper/cast hole.
3. Lt.yellow/green body/blk base/black fine thread wheels/green windows/BP side labels to front/silver trim on lights & rear bumper.
4. Yellow/green body/blk base/black fine thread wheels/green windows/BP side labels to front/silver trim on lights/no trim on rear bumper.
5. Lt.yellow/green body/blk base/black fine thread wheels/green windows/BP side labels to rear/silver trim on lights/no trim on rear bumper.

Thank you for this, Charlie. Major Packs have a small but dedicated following, so I'm sure this, and other Major Pack reviews will be appreciated.

The BP Autotanker was one of the very few vehicles modeled by Lesney that was a concept vehicle, not a full production vehicle. Attached is one pic of the real one.

Really like the posts and the way they are organized. Pictures are excellent also!! I've enjoyed Major Packs for nearly 60 years.
Also, worked for BP for over 36 years......
