Id say it is, my opinion, as under very good lighting and an excellent magnifier the axle ends paper the same as the other 3 fordsons, the Ford's and john deeres I have. Other than an affidavit from the person who assembled it in 59/60 I believe it should be genuine. If it isn't then I got had, but that cou5 be said of any model in anyones collection I guess. Are they all genuine? Maybe I should sell them all for a dollar each as I didn't walk out of lesney personally with each one 60 years ago

Oops, typo. Axle ends appear to be the same.

That’s a bit strong, I think asking to see both sides of the axle is quite normal. Did you buy this one off eBay by any chance?
If your happy then we’ll done a nice addition.

I also think it is a fair question to ask for more photos in particular good quality in focus of the small rear axle end. I would also like to see a photo of the base please.

If this model has not had any post factory tampering with respect to the rear yellow hubs or the grey plastic tyres then what we see here is an UNLISTED variation. Our current records do NOT include the combination of front GPW paired with rear yellow hubs with 24 tread count grey plastic tyres.

So our request for more photos is justified.

I hope you understand our reasoning.

Thank you for the reply and I look forward to the images on your return. In the meantime here is a screen shot of the codes in question and as seen the code four has 30 tread count grey plastic tyres. The tread count on your grey plastic tyres are 24 tread count. The 24 tread came out approx 3.5 years after the 30 tread count and therefore are outside the time line for early yellow rear hub.
The model most noted for the grey 24 tread is the 50b John Deer and arrived in August 1964.
The 72a models with the solid 11mm x 24 GPW were most likely made in 1959 and possibly early 1960.

I don’t want to interfere and I may be mistaken but is there evidence of glue residue showing between the tyre and the hub? I have circled the area in question.
