Please post images of your factory drawings. These are the drawings created to see through the design and specification details of a new model.

Here is one to start off this topic.

The real car was launched in 1975. This drawing is dated 1978. Was the troubles with the parent company responsible for this new model not going ahead with production!

The problem would be the weight of the glass.

Hi Marcel. The two Dinky drawings I brought at a Windsor Toy Fair, the toy fair I now organize...

I have had these for a very long time and having them framed is a good idea but not until my house move is out of the way!

That's a really nice item, and a shame this never made into production. I see that the scale is given as 1/37, rather than 1/42.

Are any mock-ups known of this model?

1/37 is an odd scale but presumably to fit in with the Rover 3500, Volvo estate, Jaguar and Princess models which were all bigger than the the 1/42 scale liked by Dinky since 1964.

I am not aware of any mockups of this model and the fact Corgi had done a mockup Camargue may have prevented the Dinky one!

Kevin, your drawing is dated 1978. Dinky went bankrupt in 1979 and I suppose the problems already were there in 1978 so only limited to no monies to get a model beging realised.
