Great photo! How does it compare shade wise with the lightest blue SF5 Europa? I would expect them to match

Hello Mick, A picture of the models, my Dark Blue and a Lighter Blue 5a SF models, and the 14d in between them.

In the hand the 14d model is even lighter than the the ligther Blue 5a SF, it is also a different shade of Blue.

With that F box it would be from the Matchbox motorway era which would be 1969. From the photo I am not sure George actually has the lightest Lotus yet,his light car looks like the common shade but then my eyes can only make relative comparisons with my own cars in my hand.Nice comparison from Jason, does he agree that his Iso is lighter than his lightest blue Europa because it does seem to match George´s Iso?

My colours are very close, the lightest Lotus has the open bumpers. The ISO could be fractionally lighter but not a lot on my ones.J

So my judgement that they were painted with the same batch of paint over silver primer is correct, and George has a lighter Lotus to hunt down to add to his collection ! F box with George´s car is fine circumstantial evidence to add to the eyeball paint comparison putting both as 1969 production :)
And going back to our original Lotus discussion a few years ago I still maintain that there are 3 distinct blues on the Lotus, lightest and darkest shown by Jason, most variable medium shade shown by George.

Helo Gavin that's what I thought when I opened the package, here it is along side the Dark Blue 14d model I already had the "F" box just needed this model to go with it. :D :D

Can George please show us a comparison of his new Iso F box alongside the E + SF F & G boxes? I am wondering which box has the lightest blue colour on the car,I suspect it may actually be this very rare RW F box!
