I think I would do the same because it looks good 'As Is' and watching it in action in your link was great and that tick, tock noise must have been a real gem for the youngsters who owned this when new.

I would definitely leave as is and would be happy to have it in my collection as it stands.
Some interesting vehicles on your Flickr feed is the R16 yours? Looks in great condition. A friend of mine had one of these years ago and I remember the column shift was a bit tricky to master, but OK once you were used to it.

The R16 is my everyday car.
It's not the best example around, but has provided sterling service for over two years now.

Very nice and i can't remember last time I saw one on the roads, I bet it is quite a head turner.

I agree she is nice and as you say not the best but easily an every day driver which if it were a museum piece, would be a worry!

A car. Any car. Was built for being driven. It wasn't built for being put into a museum.
