1963 - 3 Car Stair Step Display
I recently picked up this 1964 Sales Aid and there is a small display in the middle of the page (http://www.regularwheel.com/p774281062/ ... 6#h5130046). It is different than the one shown in the 1965 Dealer Catalog (http://www.regularwheel.com/p791524957/ ... #h42867c26). I also picked up a July 1963 Price List that also shows the display (http://www.regularwheel.com/p774281062/ ... #h16a18041). This is why I am assuming it is a 1963 display. Any info would be appreciated!

I agree that it would be from 1963 as it is pictured in the 1963 pricelist.
These more simpley pricelist needed a shorter period before they came back from the printers.
It took quite some time to print the tradecataogue.
I have seen other examples that pictured displays in catalogue are somewhat older then the year of the trade catalogue.
Often preproduction models are pictured in the tradecatalogue. In this case they still could have pictured an older display.
While the pricelist came out during the year, the trade catalogue came out just prior the new year (to give the shops the possibility to order)
(where are those days?, as Mattel not seems to work that way nowerdays)
Your recent win of a 1963 pricelist from the UK in my opinion also shows an older MOY display
This a photo I had on file and was saved in time from the old host Vintage Forum.
This display is from Karl in Denmark and is the only one I know.
I hope Karl will be back here soon.

I also miss Karl, he was the collector who influenced me to start some work around my own house 3 years ago. He came back on the Lefora Forum for a very short time early this year, but then disappeared again. He does have some very interesting displays he has bought over the years, and I did help him with a couple of models to help fill them about 3 years ago now.
This small display was never seen in the U.S. stores we visited, so may have been a Lesney product rather than one of Fred Bronner's. It has to be very rare to find an original in any condition. The display ads and printing of the U.S. brochures were done under Fred's direction, and we had interesting discussions on the old Forum about some of the pre-production models that the photographer still had years later, and were then sold to collectors who had learned his identity.
As you have already said Marcel, In Bronner's mid 60s Dealer Catalogs, several gift set pictures and display photos were used for 2 years and never updated. It was interesting to see some models that had been discontinued, and of course most notably that famed 13 reverse color Wrecker, appear in 2 years of Fred's Dealer Catalogs as though they were current stock. I guess the idea was that the display was the same, and dealers must have received special mailings with order sheets for the latest Lesney models to be released.
I do remember a relative who was a traveling Toy salesman who would travel from town to town updating displays and bringing new stock to smaller stores. That was the early 60s, and I wish he were still around for me to discuss his job with him. I do remember he never had any free Toys for me, even after hearing of my Matchbox passion in 1964. I think the inventory was probably controlled just as tightly as his Salesman's meager Paycheck was. Those were the good old days(???) LOL........kwakers

Is this the display image you are referring to?
Looks like I saved this in 2011. Let me know if it is the correct one you are after.
I have left it as original file size as well, so you will need to scroll to view all. ( save it to your pc for reference )

a very nice 1965 3 step display was auctioned today at Ebay.
Auction is over so suppose I may place the link here to see the photo's.
Although I really wanted to go for this badly it went to high for my budget.
