Hi we are all in the same boat, good models are doing very well at the minute, i think people are putting their money into collectables rather than the bank. I managed to pick one up yesterday . Pete.

Because my collection is specifc I also have not added anything notable to it and the most recent 1-75 was a duplicate very hard to find superfast that very cheap so had to have it!

I've managed to pick up a few things that have been on my want list but it took some time to find them. My biggest problem is that I am a very picky collector and am always looking for high grade models to add. Two models that I have found very hard to find in high grade are an 11a in Green and an 11b with black plastic wheels. All good things come to those that wait. It's just the waiting that kills me! I am in the process of acquiring a very rare regular wheel model so the funds have dried up a bit as well. Good Luck and keep looking, they will eventually show up - John

I started collecting models just to past the time waiting for the right lady to come into my life...

...now 60 years old, still collecting and STILL waiting for HER

Oh the shame - no YYs to find so started collecting regular wheels ! Trouble is I'm getting more of them now than the YYs but some great bargains if you don't want them boxed and a few I picked up lately were the blue Minor, Green tanker and a 10 wheel prime mover so not to bad although the mover has had paint stuck on it and a broken hook.

Try a little Aerogard on that paint, be careful, it can be potent 8-)

Trouble is now that the scarce models are getting hard to find, this is just what the fraudsters like.

A few unwary collectors being caught, who do not know other wise.
