Home made Y5 Bentley Trophy

Post by nearlymint »

Picked up this home made trophy in a job lot, Romans 100 Rally, 27th April 1963, Team Award. Model is a bit worn but complete and is the early type body casting as well which is nice.

Hi Ghosty,
Compared to this play worn metallic model it has a larger infill panel.

Thanks Jason.

Also while my image shows a very early base without holes, presumably your trophy example does have two holes and that is how the owner has fixed the model to the wood display.

Is the model with the early base , no holes and small infill a desireable one to have?

I have one in reasonable condition that I bought for only a few pounds about ten years ago

Thanks

Sebastian :)

Hi Ghosty,
No the base has no holes, they have made there own hole through the seat hole in the middle of the
Model.
