Hi all, every once and a while you can get lucky bidding on items with not so perfect pictures. I took a chance on this 23c Bluebird Dauphine Caravan trailer in metallic lime green the other week and was quite surprised with the end result. Other than some very light rust on the axle ends and a small casting flaw along the rear edge, it's almost perfect. Being a high grade collector and always looking for the perfect model you can wait a long time between purchases to find one that meets your criteria. I do need to add a nice box to it now but that shouldn't be too hard to find. There are still some good sellers on Ebay and keep looking because you never know what might turn up.
Well done John, she looks rather nice in your pictures and can only imagine what she looks like 'In the Hand'.
Get yourself a pencil with an eraser on the end and carefuly RUB the rust away on the axle-ends. Try it on a rough model first (if you have one!), just to get the hang of what you are doing, but essentially try holding the wheel and axle firmly while rubbing the eraser over the axle-end. 9 times out of 10 this works a treat for cleaning up axles etc.
