Picked up this lovely Y5 Peugeot junk piece recently, needs a bit of TLC.

Interesting that it's black.

Hi yes the base was black and the top part looks to have been yellow and overpainted, the model itself with clear windows is hard to find but the base with Y.5. instead of Y-5 is quite early and very hard to find.
Hopefully I will have a spare screen and some seats plus some wheels to get it into the display.

Jason I can’t wait to see the finished model after some TLC.

The correct screen for this very early model should be as shown. No centre strut in lower portion of the assembly.

Few adjustments here and there and I think it goes nicely with my other one.

I don't think the seller knew what he had. Some rare models that were well trashed. The prepro PHV he took an offer of £10 for, so must have been surprised when the trashed purple Lagonda made £174. It's ok buying models like this if you have the correct bits to "restore" them I guess. Your new acquisition would have had a yellow body originally I think.

Hi Bob,
Yes it was originally yellow but the black paint looks hard to get off, the screen is just a converted standard one chopped to fit to the old broken piece. I love these pieces, saved from the scrap yard I think.

Hi Bob,
Interesting Mick mentions no body differences, the early ones have the cast seat locator missing inside in front of the seat .
