Charlie, can you tell us the history of the John Christner Trucking model? I never saw that before.

Sorry I do not recall much about the John Christner Trucking model. I remember it took me a very long time to procure one. I rank it as second hardest to find after the K187A Peterbilt Container Truck
"Tyco International". I would check the the original box for the certificate that in usually included with the model but the box is packed away.

Below is the description for the just ended Ebay auction of the "John Christner" variation. Hope you find the information helpful.

Never in production, Only around 20 decorated samples made
This is a Peterbilt 18-Wheeler Tractor & Trailer sample made around 2000 from Matchbox Collectibles for special purpose. Source indicated only around 20 samples were made for a trucking company, John Christner Trucking. The model was not assigned with an item number but the chassis printed KS199/A, Peterbilt 359 and a Matchbox Ultra logo and engraved with Matchbox logo, C1997 Mattel Inc. The model is in 1/58 scale with around 12 inches long in excellent condition packed in foam insert & white box (no certificate). It has soft tires, detailed wing mirrors, fine antenna, fine painted grille, detailed plated & painted exhausts, plated wheels, opening container doors, high quality paint finish and tampo printed graphic on both sides of container and cab doors.
