The 40-15S from 1967 pipe holder with the chrome effect Y-15 Silver Ghost is a hard one to find and if you are lucky the chrome effect Y-7 1912 Rolls-Royce with the grey ribbed roof may have the inner side rail 'Pips' to stop the top corners of the window frames bending in during the fettling process.

Pips will be where you show them Dave. At the rear of roof on the side, underneath - stopped the roof either side from wobbling about. Nice find on the pipe holdar as not seen much.

Your picture shows NO 'Pips' so an early grey ribbed roof casting.

Is the bus on the black oval tray plated as well.

From at least 1974 to 1976, the bus on the black oval tray was catalogued as a 'Giftware' item but not plated and never appearing plated in the last 1978 catalogues either so that is an odd one.

There does seem to be plated models done by special commission that were not catalogued for retail so these plated buses may fall under that umbrella.
