The landscape is very nice there.
On our 200km + ride to our hotel on the Friday I came across 3 Ford T models during our way and the closer we got to our hotel the more I thought that there would be a sort of meeting for them near our hotel as a Ford Model T is a very rare car.
The coincidence was that 1 of the quest in our hotel came with a Ford model A.
During dinner I got to spoke with him and he told me there was indeed a meeting very close to our hotel at a local Farm on saturdaymorning.
The meeting was from 9.30 until 11.30 at a local farm and a tour of 55km was sheldued afterwards.
I went to the meeting and learned that Ford T models with a copper radiator and lamps are from 1915 or older.
The oldest model was a very rare Fire Engine from 1907 with a body from a Dutch coach builder in the very north. (Near Groningen) Only 2 exist nowadays of these and only 1 is in this condition. It only came to the meeting and didn’t attend the tour as the car didn’t have breaks, good enough for the roads in this part of our country.
It was the only car who didn’t attend the tour.
The 2nd oldest car was from 1912.
I spent a good hour and a half there from 10.00 before they all went to the tour and we drove close behind them for 15 minutes orso back to our hotel.
It was a good laugh that we also waved to the people along the roads.
The Ford model T Van was a especially good car to see and I must say it was much smaller then I ever thought although I do have the Models of Yesteryear model in my collection for 40 years now.
On the Sunday I went for a steam train ride. More photos to follow on that.
