39a fun in the sun

Its a wonderful calm sunny day here so its perfect for open top motoring. Yesterday thanks (Thomas
) to a local collector I filled the obvious gap in my 39a collection getting this near perhaps most common mint lightest shades of all mw example to add to my existing all harder to issues - all 4 base colours now covered and a nice shade progression too although both spw 39a above are identical shades so one will be sold or swapped,the other 5 cover all the colour variations except the open quartelight type.This makes my top 10 favourite RW castings

Mick,
Can you clarify if any of the variations in the body work and interior colours on these RW Zodiac models shown are as a result of sun fade or did all of these leave the factory in these differing colour combinations?
Can you also clarify the colour of the body work on the model 4th from the left. In the image it has more of an orange/peach tone to it?
I think that line up looks superb BTW

4th from the left is indeed sunfaded but as it has been with me for at least 15 years and was an early find when i started collecting again I like it and keep it.All the rest are completely original and unfaded. Note 1st + 3rd from left are actually identical shades of salmon & turquoise and both have silver wheels -my sales stock was handy so I grabbed the extra and added it to the lineup with the 5 from my collection and of course I had been hoping for a difference although it is reassuring to have an identical pair of scarce ones!

The driver with the army hat in one clearly isnt sitting comfortably
silver grille trim missing from another..........

Looking at the first two pics of 3 models I thought one had a half tan and half turquoise painted base lol

Looks like a Muir Hill driver jammed in there. I'd remove that and go with no driver rather than the wrong one.
Some drivers pull double duty and serve more than one model ... that's not the case for this model. Here's what the dedicated driver looks like:
