Post by motorman »

15 days now and still no sign of the lots i won at the Matchbox Auction on the 5 Sept! despite paying nearly £10 for postage

Come on Vectis, please replace that horse and cart and start using a Courier to get our goodies to us sometime this year

Anyone else still waiting??

Vectis are very bad at postage , I have waited upto 1 month. Once I waited a month then they said the models had been damaged?

Jason,

That is wild my friend!!! That rear spiro just fits the wheel arch so could have worked. In fact i think it works really nicely.

As for the bodywork???..............What can i say Bling Bling Bling, less of a wild cat more of a PIMPMOBILE!!!! Just needs some furry dice

Waited a little over a month for my cars that I picked up from the Southwest collection. I agree that for the money we pay, all of the shipping should be done and out the door within a week of the auction close. I realize that they have hundreds of items to ship but they need to get a little quicker or they will lose business. I think they tend to over pack items. The items I won in the Southwest auction were two regular wheel items. They were packed in a custom made box that just fit both items. It had enough packing tape to seal up the leak on the Titanic. This was then packed in a larger box (roughly the size of a shoe box) which was also well taped. I don't mind that the items are well packaged but just that they tend to go overboard. Some of the fastest shipping and best packaged items I have ever gotten have been from Rockertron Toys (Graham). It's no wonder I love bidding on his auctions, I usually have my items in less than a week.

I've never heard a complaint of "over packing" before.
I just got yet another destroyed item because it was packed in a bloody jiffy bag. Model loose in a window box, not wrapped, so the model had busted the window, the box was crushed, and the roof and seat were rolling about in the bottom of the box. I'll settle for "over packed" any day.
I'm fortunate that I can always collect my Vectis lots from Sandown Park Toy Fair, so no postage charges. They are still packed as you describe though, fine by me.

Generally Vectis shipping has been quick enough, a few times it seems to take forever, but the overpacking suits me fine. I'd rather it was over than under packed.

Vectis don't do any postage until all 3 or 4 days of auctions are over. If you've never visited, its a big operation with few staff. They only have one packing room & 6 lasses to do all the shipping. But the same 6 lasses have to take care of those who are collecting there goods. Plus its 1st paid 1st shipped so if you wait a day or so to pay, you'll have to wait a little longer.

Day 19, all is quiet still no delivery. What is going on?

Well i phoned Vectis only to be told that they havent actually started posting the Matchbox 33 Auction lots yet!!!! In fact they are still trying to sort out lots from Auctions that took place in August!!!!!!

I am not inclined to complain, but this is ridiculous. They charged me £10 for postage for gods sake. I would have been quicker walking from Glasgow to Vectis HQ and back.

NOT HAPPY :x

It is easier to collect. & I'm lucky enough to only live an hour and a bit away.
