I am pretty sure someone will know the answer I hope. Are there different colored grey wheels or are my old eyes deceiving me, but I have a few castings that appear to have a darker grey color and on the same cast with the same dimension wheels a light grey color. Sorry I did not take a picture, but can do so later

There are indeed different shades of grey, light and dark being clearly distinguishable. Where mentioned by cataloguers, GPW colour has been noted in my model reviews.

On the #44A Rolls-Royce I have found three shades...dark, medium and light grey.

Thankyou very much sir...I think LOL... being a variation collector adds another dimension to my challenge. Being a collector of "if its got wheels" kind of makes you crazy, but my 1st love and always will be are Matchbox Regular wheels. Between the Stannard catalog and this site one could not ask for more. Again thanks

'The Matchbox Models Photo Album'...There you go, you have just created a new topic and this could be placed in the 'Lounge' and members just post pictures of models that have no importance I.E. it does not matter what code, issue or variation it is, it is just a nice picture of a model or models you would like to see on your office wall!

Someone here posted fabulous pic of 1960s Perth Australia Swan River as back drop and I think a Cadillac/Caravan combo. Stole a copy somewhere - looked fantastic and most real cos the post card view was in proportion to model scale.
