I picked up a mint / uncarded Mercedes TP1 truck yesterday with red wheel trim.
While I have seen one before, I never thought I'd get one, they must be as rare as hen's teeth.
There is no mention of such a variation in the sister "Vintage British Diecast" reference site.
Now, what are the odds of my finding the trailer for it?
Pic below shows my newly purchased model along with an ordinary chrome wheel trimmed version (wrong tarp) ....

very nice find
Re: Mercedes TP1 Truck with Red Wheel Trim
i have never seen or ever heard of a red hubbed #1 Mercedes Truck and on closer inspection it appears that a previous owner has coloured the hub using some kind of marker pen, paint or similar, please look closely at the axle ends which are also red in colour. Post factory customising in my opinion and I am surprised that you mention seeing one before? This is clearly a one off and not rare just a home custom Job

Looks like you are right about post customisation. I'm sure I've seen one before but yeah, I need to look a bit harder, my eyes aren't what they were.
Still, it was worth the price just for the tarp really.

I zoomed in on the wheel and agree with ''motorman'' that they have been reworked by a previous owner but at least they have found a very good colour shade match!
