Cirencester today

Post by DrJeep »

Lots of train stuff today, and far less Matchbox than normal. I came away with just these three, but they're worth having.

The 42 crane and the 11 Mercedes are both close to perfect, even though the boxes aren't so good. The Aral tanker is obviously play worn but I didn't have one before, and it wasn't expensive.

Thanks! It was a bit of a lucky find; the seller had a dozen or so Matchbox kept in their boxes at the back of the stall. I asked to have a look at the Iron Fairy, expecting to see an orange and lime version, so I was delighted to see this near-perfect red and yellow specimen. Unfortunately the boxed Superfast Lincoln Continental was metallic lime, and the others were all newer. But it shows it's always worth talking to stall holders and finding out what else they've got tucked away!
