Interesting cheap eBay win
Rivets are good and the roof rivet is unspun
Solid wheels numbered 2 and 20 front. 2 and 29 rear
Tow guide base with an unusual hole??
I'll have it at Brentwood and Sandown if anyone wants a better look

The hole maybe caused by a die fault known as a broken ejector,if an ejector breaks forward you get a hole,if it bends or breaks in a back position you get a column of metal,if someone has a loose base you could see if it lines up with an ejector, working ejectors leave a ring level with the casting surface .

Good idea! (Haven't we seem something very similar before?)
What is interesting is that, if it is the result of a stuck ejector, someone spotted the hole in the baseplate but, even so, decided to assemble the model albeit without either interior or windows, suggesting that it could be some kind of trial piece.

hadn't thought of it as a trial piece, could that explain the lack of letters on the whees ?
I have noticed the raised part of the wheel circumferance is narrower than the other one of these I have

That is a very plausable status for the model because with only numbers moulded on the wheels it takes production (or at least the moulding date for the wheels on this example), into early and mid 1969, with the letter 'A' Prefix coming during late 1969.

Great model Reg, looks like the rivet I can see holding the wheel strip is not pressed either or is it just the angle of the picture.

J the wheel strip is spun on both points
I've checked with my other one of these and it seems to have a chisel cut rivet, unfortunately all my other 33s are packed away
The ejector theory is correct in my opinion judging by the mark on the opposite side ...good call Dave
