The red and white Chevy in the photos was the original Corgi release back in the mid-1980's. This one model is not originally from my collection, but rather belonged to my late Dad. He was an antique car enthusiast and this caught his eye one day at a flea market.
The later yellow and white model is from the mid-2000's is a PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLE that Corgi sent to me of the American Corgi Collector Club model that was issued. At the time I was the director of the club sponsored by CorgiUSA. I provided Corgi with thorough research of the prototype car including factory paint samples. This is the most accurate '57 Chevy that Corgi issued, including lots of little added details.
These are both keepers.
