A Forum like this is a bit of a strange place. We all know each other and yet, at the same time, we mostly don't even know what other Members look like. This is an area where Members can post photographs of themsleves and, if they wish, add a few autobiographical details.

For my sins (which I think must be many and varied), I'm a university-trained engineer. Having been treated exceptionally badly by management on two separate occasions, I am now self-employed and live a slightly precarious existence doing contract work both in the UK and abroad.
Although British, I lived in The Netherlands for 17 years, returning to the UK in 2004. I now live halfway up a mountain in N. Wales with my second wife and numerous animals.

Here I am, on holiday in Cornwall earlier this year, doing my best to restrain the Hounds of Hell!
