It's a very common model in rough condition. What do you expect?? Even mint and boxed it would only make £2-£3 realistically. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but there are hundreds of them out there.

Yes thats what I am saying..Its a damn shame and if it where even more common it would be worth nothing.--As you can see on here I can't even give it away even if I pay the post.It was a sort of test to see what would happen..I am sure there are a few who would be a little reticent of jumping in and grabbing hold of a freeby as I was sounding a little desperate....
As a seller of diecast and model railway items over a long time I have seen many trends rise like the Pheonix and drop like Gary Glitters presence at a primary school dance.
A friend of mine who lives up our road called me in one day to give a valuation on two big boxes of limited edition boxed "very collectable" diecast vans....{your ahead of me here I know]-----So what do you think she paid for 100 lledos? I am not sure but I'm guessing £600-£800...What could I offer..£50 to cover costs and hope to get a pound each....!!!....
Yesteryear in my opinion have a had a tragic past. There stuff was top draw and greatly welcomed when issued....Scale model cars and trucks you could put on your layout or cabinet without messing about with...Fantastic stuff.....
When I was younger we where collecting Matchbox cars to detail for our railway layouts and feeling very pleased with ourselves,we had achieved something...I still have a large box in the loft that I can't even lift with just 00 gauge cars and trucks I have collected or customised over the years that will probably be given away when I pass as there is no one in my family who would want any of it......

Hornby tin plate, prices are dropping ,but strangely a lot of Dinky continues to rise and Spot-on never stops to amaze me........I am putting it back on Ebay Sunday at a greatly inflated price to test the market the other way unless some one is asking for it on my other thread....Good night guys....Have a nice Sunday and I hope the early birds pick up bargain or two.....

What actually 'killed' them was comprised of several factors - their popularity and MoY collectors looking for variants. At any swap you could buy a new model for 3.95 but find one with wheels different and the price went up to 10.00 each. This bought out the fakers in their thousands all out to make a quick buck by swapping wheels. Next the old supply and demand - pre internet days and dealers held back lots of rarities which were not really rarities, rather just hidden from general public buyers and again the prices were high for these models. The change of companies owning the label and their different selling/marketing - worst of the lot was the Collectible era - models shipped direct from factory to collector, and being variant collectors, none to be found as if there were any the middleman had already sorted them out. Then Mattel - totally killed the brand with their issues of 6 in a set expensive models ( base was up around 39.95 now and even dearer for the specials) collectors could not afford this many models at these prices in a year and so they slowly dies off. The last 4 MoY issued by Mattel in a huge box which probably cost more than one of the models ( made from old cheap castings ) was the last nail and that was the end of them.
The boom in prepro collecting which was almost unheard of back then suddenly took off and as the prices grew so did those at the factory making them until it got really silly and models way past the original issues were coming out with all sorts of tampo and decals stuck on the later model and told they were prepro - total bullshit. Just turn up at the gates and order what you wanted. So the main cause was basically their popularity and greedy people, some who are still around today selling their fake garbage rubbish.
Sad really as they were truly good, well made models, and their appeal to older collectors who are slowly dying off was great - RIP MoYs your still a great item for many of us and although most run you down because the over produced stuff that scalpers bought and got caught with are still out there and they can't sell these common models they tell everybody how crappy they are.
Dinky, Corgi, Lledo whatever diecast they are , they have all had their ups and downs ( just wait till Hotwheels hit - that will be fun to watch ). Younger collectors are not interested in diecast no matter what the brand , they grew up with electronic toys and that is what they will want eventually.

I totally agree with both replies and thank you both for your input.I have a lot put away as I said and not all 00 stuff but a lot of Yesteryears cherry picked for there quality and realism .No rare ones I might add just good honest models. Enjoy your dinners Gentlemen.....
