SF 75b Ferrari Query

As regular readers will know, I don't really collect Superfast (which is why I've bought yet another one).
This SF 75b Ferrari Berlinetta caught my eye for the colour of the undercoat. To the best of my knowledge (and confirmed by Nick's catalogue page), the red SF berlinetta had a two-coat paint job with the undercoat being pink. However, this one has a yellow undercoat.
I have compared it with a standard model and can see no obvious casting variations. However, the paint coverage is significantly thinner. The red paint is also matt rather than gloss (although this could simply be the result of it having led a hard life). A scratch test has shown the undercoat to be yellow even under the intact red paint., presumably ruling out both environmental and/or chemical effects. The model has the later "Pat. App." baseplate.
