Very impressive!

Can I ask were these all collected over a long period of time?

Are they all of equal availability/rarity?

Thanks

Sebastian :) :)

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for the kind words. I started collecting kings/superkings in the late eighties usually buying wherever I can find them,
such as toy shows, hobby/toy shops or dealers' sales lists. However it really picked up for me in the late nineties with the advent
of the internet and of course ebay. Good note keeping and a sharp eye for detail was key to accumulate many variations.

WRT the K14A Taylor Jumbo Crane, I would say from my experience, the hardest to find in good/mint condition were the earliest
variations, all yellow body with gray hydraulic sleeves and the ones with the black cable.

Hello Charlie and Sebastian,
Of all the cranes Charlie has shown I think the rarest factory original would be the one with the stripes and number plate label upside down at variation image 10. :)
Maybe the crane driver thought he could avoid speed camera recognition, only now it is a very unique plate.
Or perhaps it is so he can stick his head out the window to read his number plate without getting out of his rig. :)

Another great listing Charlie.

Charlie/Bert

Thanks for the information - I don't have any of these cranes except for the much smaller regular wheels versions

Its good to know what to look for if I decide to expand my small King Size collection!

Can I ask Charlie whether you collect the K8 Guy Transporter models? - I didn't see any when I did a quick search of your listings

I picked up another of the K8 yellow body/orange wheels versions recently - this one is play worn with a bit of wire instead of a pivot pin at the front of the top deck - also the main tractor/trailer rivet is just holding and no more.

However due to the condition I negotiated a 30% discount so I am not complaining! :D :D

Photo as per below

Happy collecting :) :)

Hi Sebastian,
Yes, I do have a number of the K8B Guy Warrior Car Transporters and eventually I will get to them. It seems that every time an orange hub variation of the yellow model shows up
it is usually in bad shape. I like this model as it has generated a number of interesting variations. As you probably know, it started out in the Major Pack series in 1964 as M8B and
transitioned to the Kingsize series in 1967.

Hi Bert,
I had a good laugh at your remarks but I wasn't surprised because I do remember noticing it during the photo shoot and made a mental note which obviously did not work so well.
I will have to check my duplicates now. Good observation though and thanks for pointing it out.
