Notice that the cab section and doors are borrowed directly from the late 50's Dodge C series stepside and sweptside pickups and "plonked" on top of a wider chassis (door handle placed lower down) .... Ford did much the same when they created the H series by "plonking" a C series on top of an N series. The N series took its styling cues from the Ford Falcon car of the time and stacking a C series on top earned the H series the nickname of "Two Storey Falcon's". I think I touched on that in another thread.
Anyway, here is a C series light pickup and bonneted Dodge LCF for comparison ....

How very resourcfull of Dodge's designers to make use of those parts from the smaller vehicle.

Dodge made a habit of this as in the 80s S46.....Talk about making a pigs purse from a sows ear.
