Not really what I collect, but this caught my eye. Why was I pleased to add it to my collection (and it's not because of the missing tampo print)?

Correct! Go to the top of the class.
According to the text of a lecture by Paul Carr (which I found on the Internet), something like 62,000 bodies were cast without 'Corvette' on the rear, making them htf. The fact that this one is also missing its tampo suggests to me that this particular example may well be right from the begining of production.

Found my ones today Hugh and I have a playworn model without corvette but with tampo, so thanks for adding this info.
