K2B KW-Dart Dump Truck

K2B KW-Dart Dump Truck Issued 1965 All England castings.

Body: Yellow or dark yellow.
Base: Three types - 1. "Matchbox Series" on flat base plate, no rivet braces.
2. "Matchbox Series" on flat base plate, with rivet braces.
3. "Matchbox" on raised platform, with rivet braces.
Wheels: Black plastic tires (BPT) with red hubs.
Cab's rear axle: Original webs replaced by plate.
Windows: Green.
Decals: KW-Dart

1. Yellow body/type 1 base/no rivet braces/ webs on cab's rear axle/green windows/KW-Dart decals.
2. Dark yellow body/type 1 base/no rivet braces/ webs on cab's rear axle/green windows/KW-Dart decals.
3. Yellow body/type 2 base/with rivet braces/plate on cab's rear axle/green windows/KW-Dart decals.
4. Yellow body/type 3 base/with rivet braces/plate on cab's rear axle/green windows/KW-Dart decals.
5. Dark yellow body/type 3 base/with rivet braces/plate on cab's rear axle/green windows/KW-Dart decals.

What a great model and imagine what fun it must have been for the team at Lesney designing that one. The technical drawings, the prototypes and trial castings etc must have made for an engaging project back in it's day.

All the "earth moving" models were great. Tremendous play value in the sand pit or the flower border.

Thank you all for the kind words. Antonin, I have checked all of my models, and they all have the decal location guide. Nice find.
