Pale Blue SF47d Beach Hoppers

Post by Idris »

The only two Ebay auctions of pale blue SF47 Beach Hoppers that I've seen have both been French (e.g. here).
Could it therefore be that a number of these pre-productions were shipped to France for retail sale?

Yes it could possibly be, I think I have had 1 from France and 1 found in the UK.

Hi Reg,
That was me , parcel arrived today with a note from Royal Mail saying the parcel had been opened and the contents have gone. That’s 2 of my parcels now that have been opened.

Open and then resealed parcels are now a common site with me. One model so far was damaged by the stanley knife they used to cut open the parcel!!

That lost in post business: it seems to me that someone in the Post Office knows that you receive interesting (and potentially valuable) items in small boxes, and is helping him/herself to the contents. Have you considered taking a P.O. box or having the models sent to your work address?
