There is a hole in the base plate by code 2 and 3. There is no hole by code 1 only. In my opinion this hole served to settle the model on the pin, which was rotating during the painting process. This theory could confirmed by the fact that all holes (by code 2 and code 3) are bare or covered with a little bit painting.

Hi Antonin.
I agree with what you say, there are other 'no hole' baseplates such as the claas combine harvester which is very rare, is the 1d no hole as rare, I ask because you don't show a picture of it.

Hi Nick,
thanks for explanation. I think that code 1 by 1d Roller is much more rare as code 1 by 65c Combine Harvester.

To continue the topic, I have only one model in my collection, where the hole is completely covered with paint. I think, that this is one of the first models of code 2, which has already "the hole for painting pin", but it was painted in "the old way"

All my code 2 have bare inside of the roof and all my code 3 have the inscription on the roof. My question is: Has anybody code 2 with the inscription or code 3 without it?
