RW44c - Opinions Please!

What do other Members make of this, being offered by Ebay seller "marcrye2_7"?
The problems I see are that the playwear on the cab does not match that on the container, the cab and container are slightly different shades (with the container looking very matt indeed), how did that rear mudguard lose all its paint without leaving a mark on the container, and the rear nearside wheel is loose on the axle.
Once again, I have already asked the opinion of a well-respected Member, and he has similar doubts about the model's authenticity.

The wear inconsistencies are such that it seems inconceivable that the container and the truck chassis began life together in my opinion.

I agree with all the comments about the differential wear, which doesn't seem at all consistent. Idris does have a genuine all-red 44c, but his is so worn that it's hard to know whether the cab and body are different colours. Could this one be real? I just don't know.

I can’t see that as possible with the evident wear to the rear wheel arch and no wear on the container immediately above it.

Like elswhere, why fake a model with two distinctly different levels of playware. Either you fake a model with matching or no playware!!!

Amateur fakers might not give much thought.

I agree, really. It’s probably made from two different models. The base rivet (which looks good) doesn’t actually hold the container to the chassis but just attaches the plastic base to the cab. The container is held to the cab roof by two small rivets - can I see glue around the base of the refrigeration unit on the cab roof? That’s the proof, I think.

Yes, I think it may well be glue on the cab roof, I noticed that too. The base rivet does look ok, but sometimes things aren't all they seem.
