White Lady - Happy Birthday

Our Auckland icon, "The White Lady" has turned 70.
My wife remembers trips to the city in the 50's and before returning on the ferry back to Devonport the family would always visit the White Lady for a take home snack.
A bit fancier the Lesney Refreshment Canteen
Often wondered, why does late night snack food always taste so good?
The first time I had a late night in the city after a concert and the wife said "C'mon I'll take you to the White Lady" I wasn't quite sure what I was going to experience.
