Watched two shows today that I have not seen since I was a young lad, FIREBALL XL5 and SUPERCAR! Amazing what you can find to watch on streaming tv, like Roku.

When Spectrum took over Time Warner and went digital we had to get a Roku unit for a TV in our bedroom. We have watched a few movies with it, but I will now have to "Shop" a few older TV Shows from my youth. "Sky King", Sea Hunt, "Roy Rogers", and of course "Lassie" come to mind from my Black and White youthful years in the 50s. I hope some of these pioneer U.S. TV shows have been preserved somewhere from MANY days gone by. Thanks for an idea for a rainy day search Bob, it sounds like pure Fun! Kwakers

I remember...

'Captain Pugwash'
'Ivor the engine'
'The flowerpot men'
'Camberwick Green'
'The singing ringing tree'...very scary for a young lad!
'Jackanory'
'Stingray'
'Thunderbirds'
'Captain Scarlet'
'Doctor Who'

...as main stream Children's escapism shows.

Added to those we had,

'Blue Peter'
'Magpie'
'How!'
'Animal magic'

as educational shows.

All still very watchable today
