Variations I would love in my ‘Superfast’ collection.

Post by motorman »

This thread should be used to list model variations that you don’t currently have in your collection but would love to have. The variations don’t have to be the ultra rares, it could be that slightly harder to find model that you just haven’t found yet. Please feel free to include prepro as well as factory produced models And why don’t we consider box variations as well, is there a box you need but haven’t found yet?
My hope is that by providing a list of your wants it may encourage some deals or swaps between members who knows, we shall see what happens. Can I ask that if you do have a model variation to trade/sell that someone lists in their wanted list, that all communications are done by PM and not as part of the thread
Thank you :D

Motormans wanted list

Post by motorman »

Here is a list of some of the ‘Superfast’ model variations I would love to add to my collection:

1. #5e Lotus Europa, metallic blue, open bumper, no ‘Superfast’ on baseplate
2. #6d Ford Pickup, white grill, wide wheels, and unpainted baseplate
3. #8f Wildcat Dragster, orange body, green baseplate, yellow and black Wildcat labels
4. #14d ISO Grifo, dark metallic blue body, white interior
5. #29c Fire Pumper Truck in type F Superfast script box
6. #29d Racing Mini, gold painted body (promo)
7. #32d Maserati Bora, Magenta body, unpainted baseplate
8. #33c Lamborghini Miura, dark bronze bodywork, red interior
9. #41c Ford GT, yellow bodywork, black baseplate (Italian issue)
10. #45c Ford Group 6, metallic lime green, yellow baseplate
11. #51c AEC 8 Wheel Tipper, yellow bodywork, grey plastic baseplate
12. 62c Mercury Cougar, light metallic green, type F box without Superfast script

I could add a few more of course but I think we should keep our lists manageable.

I only tend to add minty models and boxes so my challenge is even harder!

8e in White with correct early box
8e in Red with Red Interior with correct box

I don't really collect Superfast models beyond Transitionals. Amazing how many you end up with in the search!

Nice Jay, it is no surprise that an RW Collector would be attracted to these 2 SF Mustang variations. :D

If I may borrow Jay's listing of the Two Mustang models...

#8e in White with correct early box.
#8e in Red with Red Interior with correct box.

I would also love to have these plus...

#22c Pontiac GP Sports coupe in all Three distinct shades.
#14d Iso Griffo but a few codes so I can try and duplicate my original example.
#25d Ford Cortina as above, several codes will be fine.
#31c Lincoln Continental in Green. Never had this when new so will have to rectify this :D
#46c Mercedes-Benz 300SE Blue or Gold.
#53c Ford Zodiac Blue or Green.
#69c Silver Shadow DHC, unlisted Aqua-Green baseplate.
#75b Ferrari Berlinetta, code 17, the mintiest example around...I wish!!

Most of the above to replace long lost examples from my Childhood from only a few Years ago...

Great idea Al, will certainly work well I think. I have not as yet had time to start listing all the many variations I have for sale but as and when guys publish their lists I will PM them if I have any available, all the best.

A reminder to all that any trades/sales should be done via PM and furthermore if you have any lists of models you are trying to sell please use ‘The markerplace’ section of the forum to list them. I want to keep this thread for lists of variations members would love in their collections

Hi SF, I love searching for the Japanese boxes. I have all the black ones and now working on the other "white" Japanese boxes, only have one so far. The search goes on. I did just complete my red script F box set so patting myself on the back.

Happy Searching
