This one has the plastic crates reversed - I think this is likely to be an error category model
i hope to find the GPW version this year

Re: Commer 21c Milk Float
Hi Sebastian,
I think this model is one with a snap in baseplate.
The inlay could also be tourned arround by a previous owner.
I´ve tried it on a junk model and it works.

The model was sold as original and was pretty expensive
The base doesn't look as it has been tampered with so I am hoping it is a legitimate model - it was sold by a well known auction house
Thanks for the information

Re: Commer 21c Milk Float
Hello Sebastian my collector friend has the same model as you with the milk crates back to front, only his model has the SPW but a cow on the door not a bottle and the same Cream load of crates.

Thanks for the reply. Bearing in mind the concerns raised by Stephan is your friend's model authenticate i.e. base not swopped?
Happy searching

Re: Commer 21c Milk Float
what do you mean by plastic cases reversed, I dont get it!!!?
Re: Commer 21c Milk Float
The model has been assembled with the plastic moulding of the crates installed back-to-front, i.e. the crates which should be immediately behind the cab are at the rear, and those which should be at the rear are immediately behind the cab. Since the crates are stacked asymmetrically along the length of the vehicle (they are, however, symmetrical from a side-to-side point of view), this changes the milk float's appearance.brainstrust wrote:what do you mean by plastic cases reversed, I dont get it!!!?

Ya, does look a bit odd.
I prefer the Cow sticker.
Mine hasn't got it.
Always liked this model.
