Lost Sheep Returns...

Post by Ewan »

Hello All,

Hope all my old mates here have had a good year, and it's great to see lots of posts from names I don't recognise from back when I was a regular on here. 2017 has been quite a year for me and mine, and although New Year is a wee bit off yet I'm looking forward to 2018 already. I'm aiming to get back into collecting next year, the lack of time, space and money that prompted me to stop are all (hopefully) improving and as was pointed out to me before - when the bug bites you tend to stay bitten!

All that remains is for me to figure out what to collect, I have a few ideas but as I'll be starting from nothing there's probably too much choice. Chances are that before long I'll be posting in the 'Others' thread asking for ID help as if I'd never been away

Cheers for now
Ewan

Hi there Ewan,
Nice to see your name pop up again. How is the youngster going, growing up fast no doubt and keeping you on your toes? Look forward to your 2018 posts.
Have a good Christmas

Thanks for all the welcomes, the otters haven't got me yet and the family are all well - particularly the youngest who has me on my knees more than my toes :D

Needless to say 2018 has come a little early and the collecting has started. Continuing in the same kind of style as before - this is a John Hill Co tram I decided to treat myself to for Christmas. These trams were probably made in the early 1930s, they don't appear in the Ramsay's Guide for John Hill Co and they are lettered for 'London County Council' - LCC trams were absorbed into London Transport in 1933. At 85mm in length it is a bit bigger than the 1930s Dinky trams and I do rather like it.

I'd like to finish by wishing you all a Merry Christmas when it comes, and hope 2018 will be a good year for all.
