What do you make of this

Post by Lee@kai76 »

Hi everyone, just looking through a few models I'm interested in buying and came across this... Sorry I can't work out how to put the link up with this new phone...the item number is 122842638115... Why this model has bids on it is beyond me look at the base, also looked through the completed items from the same seller and don't like the look of the canteen base either.

Thank's for the item number Lee.

Would not touch it with a barge pole, fully loaded with signs of tampering.

Even to the Matchbox rookie I am, base seems to have been unriveted.

But... I do own a Spot-On with no doubt about its genuine condition that has a bad rivet. :?

What is it with this model, yet more bids some people are just crazy... upto £155, also the thunderbird been sold by the same seller has definate signs of damage to the base too...very odd.

That one is certainly curious. The paint looks good, the mask spray trim looks good, axle ends look good. But I agree with others about the tampering on the base rivets. Still, I think the body may well be original.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

I had forgotten to watch it to see the final price so thanks for putting up the link fixer....I still think whoever paid that for it must be nuts, even though I do think every part of it is genuine, just wondering why the base has been removed...strange.
