MG 1 c 1968 Bp service station

Hi, just got MG 1 c BP service station ,a couple questions, half of it is off white the other half is beige . Is it
normal ?. What is the use of the red plstic piece under the BP sign?

In would think that it’s showing signs of sun fading.
Try looking at Micks site matchboxmemories.com under Garages. There are several ´Photos of the different garages.

Hi Rod , its not sun fade as in and out is the same colour

Hi Gary.

The catalogue illustration for this garage shows the Red item being used as a direction indicator with a White chevron pointing towards the garage, but I don't know if this was a sticky label the owner had to apply himself.

it is not sunfade, it was made like that! (There is ample evidence of Lesney having used a beige/tan plastic interchangeably with white. This seems to be particularly common on the Fire Station.)
