My Matchboxes - or the reason why I joined this forum

I mentioned this already in my introducion - I came to this forum because I found a box with old toy cars from my yoof.
The following are the Matchboxers it contained.
I know this is rather ridiculous compared with what some here have to show, so feel free to slag and ridicule it to your
hearts' contents.
I was born late enough so that when I reached the age to play with toy cars, the RW era drew to an end.
Consequently I have very few of those.
My King Size Hoveringham has survived in remarkably good condition.
These are my only other RWs:
The Snow Trac - as you all know - has meanwhile new tracks.
I have a few boxed SFs - yes, I put them back into their boxes after I played with them.
Of course I have some unboxed ones, too.
Then there are these big ones.
And finally, this set I bought much later in life.
I actually bought two of them, one is still in its box.

I think that was a very good reason to join this forum, you liked them enough to add to them and they survived long enough to still give you enjoyment even to the point of buying more, the Thunderbirds sets!
Thank you for showing them here, but before I leave, can I see more pictures of your 'Superfast' metallic Blue Rolls-Royce drop-top, in particular the whole of the underside, thank's.

Thank's for the additional pictures of the drop-top Rolls-Royce. I was checking to see if it was a variation we like to call...the 'Long Seat' version because during production a number of 'Preproduction' seat mouldings were used and the easiest way to tell if a model has this fitted is to see the underside of the model. Sadly, your example has the normal ('Short Seat'), moulding.
Great to see you are adding to your collection, always encouraging.

A great collection from your yoof. The rolls Royce coupe looks nice.

Nothing wrong with that collection. You have models there that I don't have. Nice collection, keep collecting.
Remember, we all started out with one model. Some of us just added to that one model quicker than others!
Cheers, Steve

Thank you guys!
Don't forget that I'm actually not really collecting Matchboxers.
I have a ca. 1,500 strong model car collection, but my emphasis is 1/24 scale and larger.

Thanks for checking.
I'd find it very strange if any of my Matchbox cars would be anything special. The older ones I have were bought new in Germany.
The chances for anything preprod hitting the shops there must have been very slim indeed.
