I wonder could anyone help tell me if this item is rare as I cannot find it listed in the Models of yesteryear book 1956-1993
it is a y13 crossley "carlsberg" but with green 12 spoke wheels.

Hello Peter.

Generally speaking the axle-ends are oposing, meaning one side of the model will only have the large end showing perhaps on the rear axle, so the front axle would be showing the small end. It looks like the large axle-ends are both showing on the same side of the model. One other detail to look at is the retaining rivet for the spare wheel. Does show signs of damage like some sort of surface damage suggesting a heavy tool has been used to help re-press the rear of the rivet once its passed through the wheel. If these is damage on the surface of this rivet, this suggests the Green wheels have been added by a previous owner and not Lesney!


It does look nice with them though!
